We will visit the tiny church built in honor of the Agia Mavri, whose history you will learn during the trip. Next to the Church you will see enormous sycamore, standing there for more than 1000 years old.
A walk along the Milomeri waterfalls will amuse you. The bravest of you, will be able to stand under the crystal clear waters.
At the famous Troodos Square you can taste traditional Cypriot sweets, nuts, wine, purchase souvenirs and small gifts as memorabilia from Cyprus.
Next stop, is the biggest Monastery in Cyprus, the Kykkos Monastery, where is located the icon of the Virgin Mary painted by Saint Lukas, during the Virgin Mary’s life. There you can venerate the relics of various Saints such as: St. Nicholas, St. George, Saints Helen and Constantine, iconographer Luke and John the Baptist. In Kykkos, you also have the opportunity to visit the Museum of Byzantine icons.
After lunch, you will visit the beautiful ancient village of Omodos. Omodos is popular for the wineries and bakeries that are located there, where you will have the opportunity to taste the Cyprus produced wines and hot traditionally baked, bread. In the village of Omodos is built one of the oldest Monasteries of the island, the Monastery of Holly Cross.
